27.

27. It seems I am 27 now.

I'm 2 years into a new demographic.
I'm older than there are hours in a day.
I'm what the show would be called if Jack Bauer's daughter had more airtime.

When my mother was 27, she was married and living in a new country.
When my father was 27, he had earned his Ph.D.
When my grandmother was 27, she was working to provide for her 3 children after her husband had been kidnapped (& possibly killed) by the North Korean army.

And now that I'm 27..

When my sister, the eldest sibling in our family, was 17, Boris Becker won Wimbledon aged 17. She described that moment as a very humbling moment, ripe with feelings of inadequacy.

Whoa, I just found your blog and realized that we are basically the exact same age. I turned 27 on 6/14/09. how weird!
